Ok guys, so I sent my i-130 stand alone the very beginning of October, as you can see in my timeline. However, I could never see my case status online. Until right now!! At I can finally see it!!! And it says Intial Review. And I am sooo happy!! I guess this means they're on mine, correct??

Now, what does this mean?? Does it mean that they are processing it as of this moment? Does one person do it and then decide or transfer for it then and there?

Or does it mean they've just "touched it," as I have seen others put on this forum.

Anyway, thank you for any type of information and or help!! :)

after you submit any form, it goes to initial review. and it's gonna stay like that until your turn comes, first in first out rule, then an officer will examine your petition and make a decision. so what does that mean for you? your application is in queue until they process the application that ahead of you.

Hmm ok. Because I thought it always just went to accepted and inital review was when they are actually looking at it. That's what I understood from this "During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators."

Compared to just being accepted.. Guess I could be wrong then..

Thank you

i think that is incorrect. they do not process by the first in first out rule.you can tell by the noa2 dates we've been seeing...also i would think that when the petitions arrive in a certain service center they get assigned in batches to different desks, than it depends on how each individual desk or office is processing...but this is just my opinion ( also many of the petitions got assigned to various field offices and that alone will make the whole process not follow the first in first out rule)
