thank you all.. :) do anyone happen to have an idea of how long it will take for the consular to give domex the passport after issuing visa? please advise because i called domex and they still say 1 to 6 weeks.. but DOS said its been issue. i dont think it would take them that long just to pass it down to domex.. any ideas?

HEY,, SO I HAVE CALLED TODAY AND THEY TELL ME THE VISA BEEN ISSUE!!! YEIHHH!!! NOW HOW LONG FOR DOMEX TO GET IT?? ANYONE HAS AN IDEA BECAUSE I CALLED DOMEX AND THEY TOLD ME THEY SHOULD GET IT 1 TO 6 WEEKS.. THATS IS JUST CRAZY.. I TOLD THEM I WILL PICK IT UP AND THEY STILL SAID THAT IT TAKES THEM TO GET IT ABOUT 1 TO 6 WEEKS.. THIS CANT BE TRUE. ANYONE HAS ANY IDEA HOW LONG IT REALLY TAKES..??

i just got back from the dominican republic. we were approved for a visa on Dec 11th and were told the same thing....1-6 weeks for domex to deliver it. my fiance received her visa yesterday at her home in santo domingo..9 days after the interview. we checked the domex website every day by logging in our tracking number and also called domex to inquire if the visa had been picked up yet.

good luck to you. hope you don't have to wait much longer.

You may receive it sooner than later. It's waiting when you know your loved one is so close to being here with you.

Keep calling Domex and checking there website.

Depending on how fast the visa gets printed out and how far the Dominican Resident lives matters. If they have to travel a long way it will take longer to receive. Some people chose to pick it up. Also, remember to only purchase plane tickets once the visa is received.

K1 Visa Process -> 12/09-06/10 Married -> 09/10/10 AOS Process -> 09/10-12/10 Removal of Conditions-> 09/12-07/13

U.S. Naturalization -> 7/8/20

Hm... I did send him to the window once just to get some info. and he said that the lady was very nice and that she said oh your case is almost complete asked for his best number to reach him and said that they would call him once it was completed. But that was Dec 3rd :( and no call yet. I guess it doesn't hurt to send him again right? Specially since he doesn't live that far away only about 15min. Thank you and congratulations so happy for you! Can't wait til my nightmare is over!!!

THANK YOU.. AND IM SORRY TO HEAR THAT.. I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING YOUR CASE AND WAS REALLY AFRAID THAT THE SAME COULD HAD HAPPEN TO ME.. BESIDES ME CALLING EVERYDAY I HAD MY FIANCEE GO BACK TO THE SAME WINDOW WE DROP OFF HIS SONS MEDICAL EXAM AND EXPLAIN THAT WE ALREADY HAVE A WEDDING DATE. THE LADY THAT HELP HIM ACTUALLY FILLED OUT A FORM EXPLAINING HIS CONCERN AND WHEN I CALL DOS IT CAME UP.. SO I GUESS THAT DID HELP THE PROCESS.. IF YOU HAVENT DONE THAT YET.. YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY THAT OPTION. GOOD LUCK !

if he is only 15 min away i think you should sent him again to that window.. tell him to explain to them how worry you are because of your wedding coming up.. when my fiance spoke to them about wedding date they right away filled out a blue paper that supost to help with the process.. and i really think it did.. because a week later DOS was able to tell me that he went and that they are processing the case... you should try again.. i really think that made a difference.. keep me posted on what happens.. soon i know everything will be resolve. :)
