My father was advised to return at St. Lukes in about 2 months from now

My father had his medical exam yesterday and unfortunately he was advised to return in about two months from now because they found out something in his x-ray exam. The staff at St. Lukes told him that they will re-schedule his interview. Are they going to tell him when his re-schedule interview? or is he going to wait for a mail that says when? And also is he going to pay another 9,000+ pesos when he return in 2 months?

If you have the same experience like my father hope you can share it to me. Thanks!

Didn't the St. Lukes require your father to undergo 3-day sputum exam? And culture and sensitivity test? the result of C&S test if after 2 months. If your father had undergone those test because of X-ray problem, he will not pay the 9000pesos+ again when he return in the clinic after 2 mos.

And also the rescheduling of interview will be done by St. Lukes or your father, and will also depend on the result of his sputum and C&S test after 2 mos.

Our experience was that St.Lukes did not cancel our scheduled interviews at the USEM. We had to do this ourselves. Keep in mind you are "only allowed to reschedule twice (not including the initial appointment) without penalty."

St. Lukes did schedule our interviews once the follow up medical exams were passed. I also need to mention that they incorrectly listed our K2 as a K1 instead so we had to correct that before the interviews.

Don't rely on them completely to cancel/schedule interviews at the embassy. Check at every step (online or call) to ensure your opportunity for the interview at the US Embassy is not messed up by SLEC. Just my experience and advice.

It's documented on the US Embassy Manila website. You can read it here...

http://manila.usembassy.gov/niv-application.html

Step 3, paragraph 4

I can't provide any detail about the penalty as I only rescheduled once.

May I ask how they informed you that your interview has been rescheduled and when it is? (like did they call you, tell you in person, email you, etc?) Did you receive another official interview schedule confirmation email? I understand that they will want to wait until the 2 months comes up clean before rescheduling, but I certainly don't want to wait around for them to take action; may never happen.

SLEC scheduled my fiancee's and her daughter's interviews after they passed their second medical exams. SLEC printed the appointments for them. However, when I checked the appointments online I found that my fiancee's daughter was incorrectly noted as K1. I can only speak of our experence, but we were told by SLEC that they would be the ones to schedule the interviews. Its up to you how you want to handle it. Just check the schedule online at every step (cancelling and the new schedule).

My mom's interview was scheduled by St. Luke's after her culture returned negative. I created an account for her in http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ then I re-scheduled her interview from Jan. 8 to Dec. 21 online after I saw an earlier date than the one that St. Luke's had. After she passed her interview, I cancelled the interview that St. Luke's had scheduled for her. I've also re-scheduled her interview several times without needing to pay another visa fee. When I called the call center, they told me if you see a better schedule online then go ahead and do it. That's all they say.
