So from what you know or have experienced...Does anyone with muliple convictions... whether or not they involve moral turptitude... have to do a wavier?

Yes - it appears a waiver will be necessary. Best to consult an immigration attorney experienced in 601 waivers in the UK.

It depends partially on the maximum possible length of sentencing, too, counted in the aggregate, which I'm taking to mean 'add up all the maximum sentences for the crimes independently.' (i.e., time served concurrently needs to be broken down into parts.)

hi roger&Angela

I am in same situtation like you, I have multiple criminal conviction and I added a post today to get some info from other members but all they are different answers. I realized It never helps to ask questions here.

Its really making me mad some members are so sure that they talk like lawyers!!!

I dont understand how do you know that -601 will be needed. Law clearly states that the aggregate sentences confinement 2/ were 5 years or more is inadmissible. Some members only confuse minds! Please do not answer If you dont have exprienced on this kind of cases.

my husband has "multiple convictions" from more than 28 years ago and the aggregate sentence is definitely not more than 5 years, infact he has never been in jail, had fines and a 6 month sentence suspended for 2 years and we still had to file the waiver. my thoughts to you, and no I am not a lawyer but this is from personal experience, is be prepared, get your hardship letter done, and what ever else you need and if they say you do not require a waiver, brilliant, if you do, you will have all the paperwork ready to present to them on the spot, that is the way we did it, good luck to you
