Sputum Test for TB....Dr. Called today after 1 month

My fiance took her medical exam at St. Lukes on November 26th and they found a small white spot on her chest x-ray. The doctor told her to come back for the next three days to take the Sputum test. She received negative results from the tests, so we felt pretty good about everything. They told her she needed to wait two more months and to call St.Lukes on Jan 29th for the results. She recieved a call from the nurse today. The nurse said she needed to come in on December 26th to get her results. The nurse would not tell her anything though. From the postings I have read on this, if St. Lukes called her back before the 2 months ended then she would be positive for TB. Does anyone have any idea why they would call her before the 2 months of culture has finished to ask her to come in? I'm thinking it's pretty negative, but praying for the best. Does anyone have any experience with this situation?

The result is most likely positive because if they wouldn't call her before the 8-week culture is done and tell her that it's negative. They can't say for sure. Also, when i called St. Luke's for my mom's result, they told me right away that she was negative. They wouldn't tell you over the phone that you're positive though. Good news is that she can be cured.
