Hello Everyone!

My name is Sam(antha) and I'm the USC/petitioner. My fiance's name is Bertie and he is from the UK. I am 22, he is 25, and we have been dating for roughly 3 years now. We met when he studied abroad at my university (Penn State) from 2009-2010 and were able to continue our relationship in person for another academic year since, by sheer unplanned coincidence, I was scheduled to study abroad at the University of Leeds in the UK - his home university.

Basically, we decided on his last visit (November) to me that we wanted to get married. Since we both work in film/TV it made most sense to have it join me in LA, so we have decided on the K-1 visa. Since he's a Londoner, he's going to self-sponsor, since I am a self-employed freelancer (started in August of this year) and we just want to make sure it all goes smoothly.

I Express mailed the I-129F petition today (Dec. 19th so technically yesterday) and it's due at noon tomorrow (technically today) at the Lockbox. I'll probably be a nervous wreck for the next 8 months or so because I get anxious about this stuff, but fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.

Looking forward to meeting more of you over the next few visa-filled years :P

12/21/2012 - I-129F arrives in Lewisville, TX according to USPS tracking (delayed because it's the USPS)
12/21/2012 - NOA1 date of receipt
12/26/2012 - NOA1 received via text/email
12/27/2012 - Checked cashed by USCIS
12/31/2012 - Alien Number changed (NOA1 hardcopy in post, but was away for 2 weeks prior)

05/16/2013 - NOA2 received via text/email

05/20/2013 - NOA2 hardcopy received in post

05/28/2013 - NVC receives packet and assigns London case number

07/15/2013 - Sent all paperwork/medical complete

08/23/2013 - Receive Interview Date

09/19/2013 - Interview
