Hi everyone,

I received my NOA2 last week, and I've been panicking as my original co-sponsor (my father) cannot find his Certificate of Naturalization number. Thus, he can't complete the I-134, and I can't use him as a sponsor.

Background info:

  • I've done everything myself
  • Russian Fiancee
  • I'm about to graduate in May with my PharmD
  • no problems at all with NAO1 through NOA2
  • we've been together 4 years
  • My brother also married a Russian (my fiancee and his wife were room-mates when we met them)
  • Obviously, he filed an i-134 for her back when they got married in 2010

So, since I cannot use my father as a co-sponsor, I want to use my brother.

Would his prior i-134 present a problem???

He makes more than enough to sponsor two individuals, I just wonder if the Moscow consulate is picky about these things.

Thanks for any help

OK, scratch that.

Got a call this morning from my dad saying he's found his Certificate number.

Another question:

If I have his 1040, three recent pay stubs, do I still need a letter from his employer stating his employment???
