Just wait for your NOA1 and then wait to see if you receive a RFE later on. It doesn't make sense to re-send the photos now without a RFE as no-one knows if it will find its way to your file.

Who would have sent the photos back, is this the people from Dallas or the Service Centre?

What role do the people in Dallas play, do they make sure everything is in order before sending it to our service centre.

As per the instructions it's say to place your passport photo into a bag and attach it to a black piece of paper and put it behind the Biometrics form, not attach it to the form.

As for my photos, I placed 3 photos into one little bag, not separate and we got our NOA1 and confirmation it has been sent to Vermont so that's a strange one. The only true answer u might get is by calling them but good luck with that.

Vermont Service Centre

Dec 10, 2012 - I-129F Sent

Dec 12, 2012 - Received at Dallas Lockbox

Dec 17, 2012 - NOA1 Received

Did you put your names in the back of the 2x2 photos? Did you put captions (place, date taken, names of people on the picture) at the back of the evidence photos?

There is a required format. Check the K1 guide on the link above.

The rest of your photos put 4 on a printed page list the people present and date, also the occasion, don't send loose photos, other than the passport photos.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

You are the 2nd person this week to post about having loose photos returned: http://www.visajourn...tion-with-noa1/

this person had put their pictures on a CD, the CD with the pictures on it was what was returned. USCIS does not accept electronic media.

OP

it is read that .... "Dear Sir, we are returning those atiems because they are not in a format that can be put in your file folder for an agent to look at during this stage of the process"

If I was in your position I would take heed to post number 18 on here from BIG DOG and not panic. sorry edited post to 18!!!

It sounds like it was overloaded and you can submit the poundage at the interview with your beneficary.

Oh Myyyyy dont cancel your check as suggested.?????

And yes the other thread was on a CD that was returned.

did they cash your check. if no, go ahead cancel that check and start the whole process again. because any corespondance addressed to uscis should have a case number.if not having that number, do not take chance.

What?

I already know USCIS does not accept electronic media. Perhaps you should read that thread again. Their photos were not on the CD. They had stacked loose photos in an envelope. The CD and photos were returned to them. They did not return only the CD.

"They returned my photos stacked together in a loose envelope and Facebook communication on a cd due to format incompatibility."

"I indeed put the passport photos in the plastic bag, but if they can't approve loose photos in an envelope, I don't understand why t would become acceptable for them if they are stacked inside a plastic bag?"

Sorry, we posted at the same time. I am not sure if they are going to start rejecting loose photos, but it seems good to advise people just to make photo collages as you suggest or print them out on regular paper.

It's really weird for them to do that. My finance is in India too and he send me his passport photos which were different format then mine and I put them in a ziplock too but everything worked fine. I wish I could help but your only option is to call the number again and ask to speak to a supervisor or someone who has a higher authority. I actually send a lot of papers as well but it's good to send as much proof as you can so you don't get a RFE. One more thing you can do is to send the correct photos Back with the original letter you got in mail on top and just mail it. It won't hurt to try since they are just photos.

I believe you will get your NOA1 and then an RFE for the pictures asking for the right size of pictures. Keep track of your check to see if it's cashed, you will know your NOA1 it's on its way for sure but the USCIS is serious about everything and yeah they are people and make mistakes. Just wait two to three weeks to see if the check is cashed at least.

SOme people have gotten RFE for pictures or missing documents, maybe that's what it will happen to you (although they were the ones in giving them back) and it sounds like you filed everything right so maybe the case it's in progress. Just wait a little bit and call also about it! I believe it didn't go missing, I understand all the work you put into getting your package ready and the worries you must have now with that letter, it's stressful.

That's what we did. We included 4 photos from a recent trip together, printed on 2 sheets of 8.5" x 11" paper. Simply printed on plain paper using an HP OfficeJet printer - nothing fancy. We were approved with no questions asked.

I spent months putting my packet together to the exact instructions for my I-129F packet. Today, received a package from USCIS. It contained the ziplock bag I had placed my passport photos of myself and my fiancee as well as the ziplock bag of photos containing my photos of evidence that she and I were together. The package was accompanied by a letter that said "Dear Sir, we are returning those atiems because they are not in a format that can be put in your file folder for an agent to look at during this stage of the process". The letter gave no receipt or case number and only told me to call the USCIS toll free number if I had questions. A got the run-around all day. I am miserable and terrified that the government has lost my packet with all of my affidavits and original material. FED EX confirmed delivery of my packet to the Texas office on the 12 of December. I have not yet received a I797 notice of action, so I have no ID number or case number. I figured out why they returned the assort photos, but still have no idea why they returned my evidence photos.

So, the question is what do I do next. Someone suggested that I wait until I receive a I797 then resend the photos with my receipt number. Yet, I am afraid they will not send me a I797 because of the missing or inadequate materials. If I just send the photos in with my name and without a receipt number, then they are sure to be lost. I am very seriously troubled about this. Can someone please give me some advice or let me know how I can remedy this? If they did not return my entire application packet, but only a few items, does that mean they will still send me a i797 and just request those missing materials...or is my application lost altogether. Please help. I'm missing my fiancee so much, and this is making my holidays miserable not knowing if all our hard work has been lost in the bureaucracy. Anything??

Focus. It's very important you read the instructions and re-send what they are requesting. They clear state they can't work with the picture format. Send just few with dates and passports notarized.

I understand how you are feeling and all I will say: Stay strong. The day is closer than yesterday.

My AOS process took from Dec 13th 2011 - Dec 3rd, 2012.

It's a waiting game. No matter how much you read it, you won't take it serious until you experience it in your own skin.

See the positive side. They haven't denied, nor send RFE. You have a chance to re=submit the evidence in the appropriate format.

Best wishes!
