Oh how i wish that were true! I live aborad with my husband in Canada and we have been waiting 6.5 months so far and no response. :( I pray before Christmas we hear something. Congrats!

Don't count on it. We're both June VSC filers. My wife and I have been married for 3.5 years now. Lived in Canada for the first 3 years of our marriage and did not expect AT ALL that we would have had to wait this long. But now we know it could be another couple of month before our I-130 is approved at the rate VSC is going.

Congrats to the OP.

I think the problem is that they are "DCF" rather than a standard. The box for "petitioner living abroad" must be unchecked when the petitioner isn't doing an actually DCF filing. I suppose that is something that needs to be changed with the site.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

That sucks! I thought being married more than 3 years might be an advantage. I was just lucky then! I hope your case will get approved soon. It must be very frustrating to wait for the approval. =(

I don't really think the fast approval was because of the length of marriage. I think because you and your spouse live abroad :)That is the main reason for quick approvals I think :)

CONGRATS

We were approved in a month too, I filed in the U.S. and had a MSC number, couldn't check my status at all then one day I tried it again and it said we were approved, I was completely shocked! Good luck on your journey!

Yay ! I can !

Thanks - but I think it was the dcf tick, rather, unticking it, that did the trick.

Congratulations again !
