we have submitted my AOS 2 weeks ago and we still haven't received a notice from USCIS that they have received our AOS package. USPS website showed that our package was delivered to the P.O. Box on December 6th. Does it normally take long for them to notify the applicant? What is the longest waiting time for this? We are getting worried about it and I'm hoping to get a job soon. anyone who submitted their AOS package recently and have been waiting for too long?

Take into consideration that you sent it around Christmas/the holidays. Last year, it took 20 days from sending until there was an email update, atleast for me.

We sent our packet the 2nd of July, USCIS receipt date on our 797 was 5 July. Pretty quick considering the 4th was in there.

yes, i have taken into consideration the holidays.. however, we paid it as priority mail package. and no, they haven't deducted the money in our account yet. but i want to know that worst that we can expect out of this.

I received my noa1 5 days after filing. But here's what's written on their site:

During the acceptance step USCIS reviews newly received applications and petitions to ensure that they are properly filed (i.e. signed by the applicant, appropriate fees, etc.) USCIS issues a receipt number for the application or petition, and sends a receipt notice to the applicant or petitioner.

Applications and petitions that are not properly filed are rejected with an explanation of why the application is rejected and the corrective action needed. Rejected applications or petitions do not retain their filing date.

The acceptance step is typically completed within 2 business days of when the application is received. With mail time it may take several weeks for you to get the receipt or rejection notice in the mail. If you do not receive your notice within 30 days of mailing your application, please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Took us about 2 weeks to receive our NOA1 receipts, and we didn't file during the holiday season…. give it some time.

ok guys, i finally got a text and email from USCIS that they have received our package. Thank God! and thanks to all of your responses.it's probably the upcoming holidays that delayed it as almost everyone is going to a vacation.

Good to hear. In not that long you'll receive a biometrics appointment letter as well. Remember to update your timeline - otherwise sit back and enjoy the holidays together.

I never did get a receipt - I simply got the text/e-mail and the biometrics letter a few days later. It happens, sometimes. If it happens to you, don't sweat it as long as you get other mail.
