Nuts are a big part of my fiance and his family's diet so I am curious if they will like peanut butter. I'm trying to think of other foods I could take back for them to try to see what they think. I already know they LOVE chocolate!

Well after a few trips there, Mohammed said to me one night on skype, what are you making there it looks tasty. I said cupcakes and lemon sugar cookies. He said, will you make me some on your next visit? So, I loaded up on some baking supples in my suitcase, and made my honey some American favorites lol. His little nieces and nephews were eating cupcakes for days, including Mohammed too.

His mother loves anything with lemons, so I made the family a lemon pound cake for dessert one evening. I made chocolate chip cookes, which only lasted 5 minutes out of the oven.

It became like a family tradition on all my visits to make some tasty American treats. I even took halal marshmallows, Hershey bars, graham crackers, and made s'mores with the little ones on ther balcony one night, OMG it was the best time ever.

Yeah, I'm sure grown women like being told what they can or can't drink. We'll probably have to make do with pineapple Jarritos, the sugar content of which I don't know and don't care.

Today we signed the contract and are officially married! The courts won't be operating tomorrow because the adouls are having a big meeting in Rabat. So Thursday or Friday we will get the signature of the judge to approve the contract. Then Monday we will have it certified in Rabat and translated. I arrived the 17th and return the 2nd. Just enough time.... Just not long enough with each other.....

I took the little packets of Hawaiian Punch that you put in the 20oz water bottles and those were a big hit too :) Got them at Dollar Tree and Walmart so they were not expensive. My hubby also loved the hot cheetos and doritos :)

To HappyToBe: I hope you are enjoying your time with your new husband. Again - congratulations and thank you so much for posting all the information on the marriage process. It will be so much help to me. I plan to do the same thing - I will post every day so others getting married after me can know what to expect.

Thank you, Abbi!!! We are enjoying each other and his family. I don't think I can walk up any more stairs, at this point. LOL they have worn me out. Thank God my boss gave me the day off after I arrive home. It will be nice to sleep in my soft bed and have water pressure when I shower again.... I will miss him terribly, though.

Oh yes the bed....when I am in Morocco we sleep on the floor and OMG after 6 weeks I am always ready for my bed. And water pressure? My hubby had no shower in his house unti last year they finally, just before I went there again, put in a western toilet and a hand held shower.... before that it was squatting over the hole and boiling water for bucket showers and going to the hamam. I can not wait until he gets here and I see his face when he realizes all the conveniences we have and what he has been missing all his life :)

Yes I took baby wipes and toilet paper with me cause I hate what they sell there.

And I am praying that time is on our side since we have been together 5 years today :) and will be married just short of 3 years when he goes to the interview this spring!!!

Inshallah we are all blessed with a YES!!!!

I made it home safely, and am getting ready to sleep in my bed....alone.... Thank you to everyone for the wishes of congrats and good luck! I hope we all have some good news out of Casa this year! And baby wipes will be coming with me on the next trip! LOL

I am glad that you made it home safely. I know it is so hard to come back so take some time for yourself. Try to think positive - soon he will be here with you! I appreciate your taking the time to post the details. It helped me more than you can imagine. Now I know what to expect. I will also post my experiences as they are happening. And I'm taking lots of baby wipes too!
