Dude, I'm talking about drinks for a birthday party. No one is saying Jarritos are like totally part of a balanced diet at every meal, not that it's any of your concern anyways. Cool your sugar dissing jets brother.

Geez what a crazy process just to get married in Morocco. But it's just as much of a headache in Yemen too. Actually now if you are a foreigner wanting to marry a Yemeni you have to get a lawyer and petition a district judge to allow for the marriage to take place. They also do some sort of "background check" on the non-Yemeni petitioner. If you're a non-Muslim then it will take considerable bribe money for the judge to approve it. And if you married a Yemeni in another country and decide to visit or move to Yemen they make you go to court to register it also! They say they instituted this law to prevent Saudis from coming to have "vacation marriages" with young Yemeni women but I just get the sense the judges are trying to legitimize subsidizing their salaries.

Congratulations!!!!! I have been thinking about you guys and wondering if you were married yet. I'm so happy to hear that you are. I know it is awful to not have enough time together. There is never enough time it seems. But now you are married and soon you will be together forever in the same country! I am so happy for you.

Yay ! Congratulations !

Now is the time to go on the hunt for mutton tajine ;)

Is great stuff, for celebrating...

Might as well download the 1040 and W-7, print out several sets, have him sign, make a photocopy of his biopage of his passport,

and get a notary seal at the US Embassy CasaBlanca during American Citizen Services time.

Why? You can file 'married filing jointly' on Taxyear 2012 when you return to USA .

So, today we went and had the papers signed by another judge and then took them to another court to be stamped. We had to give 100 dh to some one to process this faster and the adoul is asking 1200 dh for his time and court fees for a mixed marriage. We had to get more photocopies and another 20 dh stamp for the second court. I am at home resting while he goes back down to finish things. We will rest for a few days and then head to Rabat for the certification then Casablanca to translate and catch my return flight. On a happy note, we had a good party yesterday and were able to speak to some of my family on Skype. Happy new year, if I don't get online before then!!!!

That is so funny that you mentioned peanut butter. That is the one food that I missed while I was there - I eat peanut butter every day. They have never heard of it. So when I go back I am taking it with me! Of course when I go I take lots and lots of chocolate - they absolutely love that.

I found peanut butter at marjane supermarket in Casa. I also found a few type of jams, we eat here too. Mohammed didn't care for peanut butter and still to this day dosent care for it. I truly don't understand why, since nuts are a huge part of their daily diet. However, one way I found he will enjoy peanut butter, is in the no bake oatmeal, chocolate, peanut butter cookies lol, he loves them.

Nuts are a big part of my fiance and his family's diet so I am curious if they will like peanut butter. I'm trying to think of other foods I could take back for them to try to see what they think. I already know they LOVE chocolate!
