To begin with, once you'll take the Affidavit from the consulate in Casablanca you'll go directly to Rabat and make sure that you'll be early in the morning the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.the office starts receiving people at 8:30, so be there by 8 o'clock and do not talk to any of the young that will be around the area, you'll have to buy no stamps for this office you will pay a 20 dh stamp as soon as you'll be called to the front office. They will let your fiancée to come inside with you.Once finished you'll take a blue cab which will cost you between 7 to 8 dh and that is the same price you will pay from the train station to that office, you'll tell the taxidriver to take you to the Ministry of justice and you'll have to have a copy of your birth certificate and a copy of your passeport includding the date of Entry to Morocco and a stamp of 10 dh which you can buy at a photocopy office just across the street.then you'll take the certified papers which you got from te consulate to the translator.

we will let you know about the next steps and moves that you will be doing soon .best of luck

Awesome details ...I hope this helps others. Have fun in Maroc!!!

Nah, I'm not on the hunt for Pepsi in Morocco, like I am on the hunt for poutine in Canada ;)

Just a throw-out question - you know I get loopy sometimes ;)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Glad to know you arrived safely and have started the marriage process. Thanks for posting the information. In a few short weeks I will be doing exactly the same thing. I wish you the very best and I hope it all goes smoothly and quickly for you.

Hi Abbi! Yesterday he did some paperwork.... today we did much running around. We started the day getting the medical. A friend of his brothers knows some doctors. Be sure to have the statement that you are not pregnant as well as one stating you are in good health. The offices here in Fes would not take the certified copies of my passport from the consulate so we had to make 5 copies of the biographic page and 5 of the entry stamp and have those certified with 2 dh stamps on each one. Then we got passport photos of us and they are very inexpensive here 40 dh for the both of us. When we got to the court everyone was at lunch so we waited.... Tomorrow we will go back to the court to pick up the paper to take to the police station for the investigation...... and so the story continues...... Hope this helps!!!

And what was her reaction to you not "letting" her drink it? I'd have told you where to stick it, personally.

I haven't told her just yet about the sugar dose in the drink, i will let her know when she's here again hopefully soon, she's usually careful about what she eats/drinks, we just had no time to check labels, in fact, i won't need to not "let her" , i will just tell her, and she will be the one stopping herself continue intaking such sugar dose, i have a question, how did it make me look when i said " i won't let her " ? honestly :)

Yeah, I'm sure grown women like being told what they can or can't drink.

We'll probably have to make do with pineapple Jarritos, the sugar content of which I don't know and don't care. :)

You will care one day

Dude, I'm talking about drinks for a birthday party. No one is saying Jarritos are like totally part of a balanced diet at every meal, not that it's any of your concern anyways. Cool your sugar dissing jets brother.

The expression on your adorable daughter's face in your signature pic would go perfectly with the caption, "You will care one day."

Ok so today we took the papers from the court to the police station and had our interview. The investigation will be finished by Tuesday. I do not know if this is the normal time frame as he has friends and such in the police. On Tuesday we will take these papers back to the court and we should have the party on Wednesday or Thursday. Until then we will be enjoying the family and playing tourist. I highly recommend bringing really good walking shoes!!!

All of this talk of sodas and such is making me thirsty!!!

Abbi I hope all goes well and smoothly for you next month!!! We are so jealous that you will have more time together than we have

Thanks for the information! I check here every day before I go to work to find out what you had to do that day LOL. I am so happy for you and I can't wait to get there and we can start this process.

I do realize how lucky I am to get to spend some extra time with my husband (I love saying that LOL). But I think no matter how much time we get to spend - it is never enough. So I guess we just have to be thankful for the time we do have and look forward to the day when our husbands are here with us and we don't have to be separated again.

But don't think about that now - enjoy this time. You are getting married!!!!
