My husband flew Delta Airlines from Amman to Boston in October, one way, his flight was very very inexpensive for a one way ticket. The flights were actually Al Italia, but it was booked through Delta. Delta and it's flight sharing partners fly from just about every country in Europe and Asia. I suggest to anyone wanting to buy one way tickets to the US to try them.

I recommend canceling the first leg of your travel, because there are stories of it causing problems during the AOS stage:

Sorry, I meant canceling the return trip after you arrive to the US.

We are planning to buy a round trip if and when my fiance gets her visa. Our plan though is to make them like 6 months apart - is that a possibility for you? IT works for us for normal travel to re-visit family. We will go together and then have her come back on a one-way.... Maybe that looks less suspicious.

I cancelled my return ticket by applying for a refund online. That automatically cancelled my ticket regardless of the outcome. Originally, I was told that I could not get a refund. It wasn't a huge refund but it was 2 flies with one smack.

Hope you had a great trip and welcome to the US!
