medical exam question

Hi again guys. Yes I'm back with another question. Just before I leave to go to Morocco to get married I have to go to my doctor here because I have asthma and high blood pressure so I have to have a checkup in order to get refills to take with me. And of course they are requiring blood work. So I'm just wondering since I have to do this anyway is it possible to get the medical exam I will need for Morocco? I have read places that it is required to be done in Morocco but I thought I had read that some people brought their own with them. The thing is I am not sure what blood tests to ask to be run. I would assume things like HIV, Hepatitis, maybe a TB skin test? I hadn't thought of this before but since I have to go to the doctor anyway I thought MAYBE I could accomplish two things at once. Anyone ever done that?

Thanks again.

It's my understanding the answer to your question is no; the physical exam must be done in Morocco by a Moroccan doctor. It's also my understanding that most ppl's medical exams in Morocco consists of paying the doctor to write a note that you're healthy.

You're correct, we thought that the Dr would require us to do certain blood tests, but he just checked our tonsils lol, blood pressure, and heartbeat rate, that's all! We were the ones who chose which Dr to go to. but just awhile prior to that, I had blood tests for a medical matter unrelated to the marriage, and my wife had the same as well before coming to Morocco, both tests showed we're clear from sexually transmitted diseases or other diseases.

If you were vaccinated against Tuberculosis in America, you will be positive when tested in Morocco, you need to address that to the Dr.

Good luck

Thanks everyone. Since I am going to the doctor here anyway I will go ahead and have a blood test and take the results with me. And then just do whatever they need me to do when I get there. Thanks.
