Is My NOA1 date not my email date?

I've gone about 15 cases up and 20 cases down numerically from mine and except the ones that already have decision activity, they all have a received date of November 8th. I thought my package was delivered on November 9th, but maybe the USPS website was wrong?

Should I suppose my NOA1 date is November 8th?

I didn't get my NOA1 email until November 13th and have yet to receive anything in the mail so I have no idea.

No, the fact that a lot of people have a NOA1 date of Nov 8 does not mean yours is also that day, especially if your package was not even delivered then. You just have to wait for the letter to get the official date (it's probably the date they cashed the check).

I'm not getting the letter - it has been 40 days since the paperwork was delivered and no NOA1 letter.

This is actually my question too, I just got NOA1 email today and it doesn't mention priority date or NOA date or anything. And I doubt I'll be receiving the hard copy...

My I-130 was delivered on the 12/3 per USPS, My NOA1 date is 12/4 and my check was cashed 12/6

What we need to know, if anyone would please provide the information, is what date you have received the email from USCIS and what the NOA1 date is on your hard copy (we need both dates). That way we can compare the two and see if our NOA dates are earlier or later than when we received the email or if they're the same. Thanks!

For my I-129F, the check cleared days after the paper NOA1 date - so I'm going to go with not very important. I didn't sign up for email alerts last time as well.

My understanding is the code after MSC is done by year and day of the year you file and then in some sort of order of when they received those petitions that day. Every single number I checked by changing the last 3 digits has a received date of November 8th. I fail to see why my case would be the lone exception to that, especially when there was a noted problem of weird mail delivery (I even made a thread about why the Express from DK was taking so long).

It probably doesn't. Just for accuracy's sake you know? And I personally don't have anything better to do than cross t's and dot i's for this process!

I've been browsing the files close to mine in number and found that the dates are not always consistent. There is a large block of Nov 15th in the middle of a bunch of Nov 16th files.

My running theory is that people attaching number to the files are given a block of numbers to work with (possibly a sheet of stickers prenumbered) that they attach to the files they're working on. So while most of them will probably correlate well with dates chronologically, there may be hiccups to the order if someone at one desk is going through their stickers a little faster than the next desk. So you might have gotten one of the last stickers from a pack that was mostly used the day before or something... just a guess.
