Hello everyone this is my first post, I do apologize for any inconvenience.

My situation is as follows:

I am an American citizen born in Saudi Arabia. I lived there all my life. I am visiting the US almost annually and I have family there.

I got married to my Palestinian Girlfriend in Saudi Arabia. I work in a hospital as a health care professional in Saudi Arabia. We have been married for 10 months now and we don't have any children.

My wife has never been to the US before.

Having explained all of the above, now for my question:

What are my wife's chances of getting a visitor's Visa to the US, a (B-2) visa I think?

Please let me know if I need to provide any more details.

Thanks in Advance

Normally, she has to provide strong ties to her country (Saudi Arabia) as B2 visa is only for visiting the US.

Example: She has a stable and good earning job, properties under her name (car, house, lot, condo), money/bank savings.

But since she's married to a US citizen (you), chances are she will most likely be denied a tourist visa. Consul would probably say you apply a CR1 petition for her as they would assume she has immigrant intent, unless proven otherwise.

Her chances wouldnt be good because she is married to a USC which makes her "strongest ties" to you when she enters the USA. However this may not be the case if you legaly reside in S A which it seems you do. This serves to strengthen her ties to S A and to you as her husband.

These cases are decided on the merits. She should carefully prepare her forms to include some explanation of her unique situation. That could include a written statement of the facts surrounding the case.

Well my wife does not have a job but I do. I am in a 4 year training program in the Hospital I am working at, and I still have 3 more years to go.

Furthermore, I thought being married to an American would help not hinder her chances of at least visiting the US.

That's the common notion. Looks like your wife has a very slim chance given she's unemployed.

Well her family lives in Saudi and she has legal residence there.

Ok so everyone is telling me that her chances are rather slim. After all she is only 19 and recently finished high school, so she is not a professional and thusly can't have a professional vocation.

What then do you people suggest? Bear in mind that I want to visit the US only and stay there for no more than 3 months.

My suggestion is: apply. Bring proof of both her ties and yours, because if you are not staying in the USA, she cannot either.

As long as you don't lie, you have nothing to loose but the application fee if denied.
