Yes, let the ignorance hang out. You've got plenty of it so let it show. And when you're done, you may want to familiarize yourself with what TIME magazine's person of the year is. Here, I save you some time:

Person of the Year (formerly Man of the Year) is an annual issue of the United States newsmagazine Time that features and profiles a person, group, idea or object that "for better or for worse, ...has done the most to influence the events of the year".

Arguably, Hitler had - for worse - done the most to influence the events of 1938. That is why he was selected. And he was not the only person selected because he influenced the events of a given year for the worse.

Ya it's strange isn't it that the posters on here that are pro gun are people who either or all grew up with guns, hunt, ex military, present military, etc... and have posted many many links to back up their post. They did their background work instead of reading a news headline and then posting about it like they had a clue.

Most of the anti gun nuts on here wouldn't know what end of a gun the bullet comes out of if it bit them in their #######. I at least try to have clue on a topic before I try and debate it.

I've actually stated before MANY times previously that I grew up around guns. All of my brothers hunted so I was always around them and they were and are responsible gun owners. I am in full support of the 2nd Amendment...but that doesn't mean that I agree there is NO LIMIT to the type of weapons civilians should own. You can own a weapon (or several) that can adequately protect your family and enable you to enjoy your hobbies without the need for assault weapons. Some of your arguments are off the wall enough to suggest that you must get kickbacks from sales of guns. And don't think that it's lost on the general public that the suggestion to simply buy more weapons and arm everyone doesn't equate to more $$$ in the NRA's pocket.

What's an 'assault weapon' ?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

The type of weapons that can kill 20 children in less than 2 minutes. They are the weapon of choice for the shooters responsible for the last 3 major mass killings here in America.

I'm still not getting you. I mean my Mossburg 12 GA can take out 20 kids in less than two minutes.

Actually in the Holmes case, I believe more people were killed by his shotgun and handguns.

Do you really want to fight government troops with single shot shotguns?

The whole purpose of the 2A was to give the common people arms so they could stave off tyranny if necessary. It was written by men who'd just overthrown their own government by violent force. Don't you think they would've set limits if they wanted them? They did quite the opposite. They wrote an amendment that guaranteed our rights without infringement.

Was that discovered in their autopsy reports? I don't recall that information, but I didn't follow the trial closely really. How else could they be sure who died from which bullets?

Do you REALLY see your government as something you need protection from? Are you one of those people?

More gun owners have mild concern if any about government inaction than action. The guns along the gulf coast come out after hurricanes, etc then get put back up again after the mess is cleaned up. Keeps looting, etc down.

i don't get it.
