So I just received an update on my case.... RFE, after I responded to an RFE, 5 MONTHS AGO! and if when I receive the letter it ends up being for the same thing (Tax transcripts) I am gonna scream, because that would tell me that they (USCIS) are not only slow, but incompetent. Has this happened to anyone else? When i got the text message I was excited that my case would be approved, but no, more s**t to deal with!

Sorry, but just so frustrating.

Thanks guys. I have tried making an info pass appointment, but every time i try, it says there are no appointments available in your area. So I don't know what to do! Senator, Congressman maybe?

Hmm, that's weird. When you went to this site trying to schedule an infopass appointment https://infopass.uscis.gov/infopass.php did you enter the right zipcode, and did you pick the right local office?

It doesn't hurt to contact the congressman or senators. But don't put your hope too high. My AOS package was received in early April 2012 and I never got an RFE (I believe I sent in every required document); yet, my case is still pending. I called the USCIS hotline to have a service request put in, and then the following month I had the congressman's aide and then senators' aides making inquiries for me; yet, still no news from the USCIS.

Try your best and if nothing happens then at least you know you've done everything you could.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advice.

After I enter the Zip Code it just directs me to more options, I Haven't seen an option where i can select the nearest office? I will keep trying though.

And I feel for you too You've been waiting longer than me and you've heard nothing! At least I got some news today I guess, even if it's not good news!

By the way, from my experience, going to the infopass appointment (at the local CIS office) was nothing but a waste of time. First, your application is not there any more, but now at California Service Center. Second, all the "information" the people at the local office have about your case you can get from the "human robots" at USCIS customer service center or by checking your own status on their website.

Maybe your best bet would be the congressman and senators. (They are always very eager to help!)

Oh, I see why. It directed me right to the local offices because I already filled out the other fields when I was trying to make an infopass appointment weeks ago. Keep trying!
