Why should I move? Polls consistently show the majority of Americans want more restrictions on guns! What we need are the legislators to stand up to the NRA and their RWNJ supporters. Maybe you should move. I hear Somalia is great for people who love guns!

Here's another picture of those crazy liberals with their devious agendas to strip law abiding citizens of their guns. They are clearly using the media to push their hidden agenda aren't they?

I believe this girl lost her brother. They are among the people that want assault weapon bans. How dare they expect anyone to curb their hobby just because they lost a family member in a massacre. Among those emotional people demanding change are the parents of the school children massacred. Would you like to tell them that guns didn't kill their children? I doubt any of you "gun enthusiasts" would have the cahunas to do that.

Everything can kill and everything should be banned, just coz one person who should stole a gun has mental issue misuses the gun mean millions of ppl should be punished for it… is that your logic?

If they are listed in the National databank for background checks, it doesn't matter what they put down as their mental state.

It also doesn't matter whether they are listed in the national databank. They can get firearms easily w/o anyone ever consulting that database. Happens every day.

The vast majority of those who should qualify as being ineligible to own weapons due to mental illness are never put on that list! It takes a court action to be formally adjudicated to have these rights taken away and that takes money and man-power. Who is going to fund all of that?

Fix that push for that rather than trying to curtail the rights of law abiding legitimate gun owners.

No, they are not. They are no different than any other lobby in DC, with politicians in their pockets. The NRA is just another umbrella under which elements of a certain fringe congregate. They are there to protect their overlords. They are in it for themselves.

Every industry has one or other such organization that promotes their business… so why are you only targeting NRA?

None of other organization is protection your right, while NRA is.

Look at the graph 91 more ppl say stricter gun laws are required 2011 that number is going down infact in 2010 ppl who want stricter gun laws and ppl who say leave the laws are merging.

Also these kinda polls keep on changing based on the time the poll were taken, polls taken after incident like Sandy say more strict gun laws are required if they taken at time when there is no incident most ppl say leave the gun laws alone.

I for one am not pro or anti gun, I believe if you want to own one or several, that's your choice. My boss owns 14, but he hunts and is responsible in his handling of all of them. I think the main focal point here is mental illnes and access to firearms. All of the pro-gun people have spouted facts about all these other things that people have died from, if you want your point to gain traction, post lists when people have committed mass murders with those things. I can't remember a time when someone has used a car to mow down 10+ people. That long list people post about medicated killers, about 95% of that is gun related. So you can see why it's being looked at.

Okay, so you admit that you were incorrect in claiming that the NRA is an organization fighting for anyone's rights. That's a start.

What the graph does show is that far more people support stricter gun laws than support more relaxed gun laws. The graph also shows that up until 2008 a majority supported stricter gun laws. And I suspect that given what's transpiring as a result of the insane gun proliferation that is happening in this country, the downward trend will soon reverse and majorities will back stricter gun laws once more. In fact, the first polls post Sandy Hook are starting to bear that out.
