Is it really faster to get approved if petitioner is in military

He told me it will only take 3 months at the most if he files for fiancee visa for me here in Norway just because they are serving the country so they have special "priveleges". Is this really true or is he just misinformed? I've been reading the K1 process in Norway usually takes 8 months so do we have it shorter just coz he is in military. Can anyone please enlighten me? Thanks.

I think he is referring to a Military Expedite, but as far as I know this is only for those with deployment orders. With both the military and USCIS assistance, I would assume it will go faster. See some time lines which are similar to yours.
