Aug/21 2013: I-485 sent
Aug/28 2013: I-485 received at USCIS, Chicago
Waiting for NOA1....

K-1 Journey
Jan/19 2013 : I-129F sent
Jan/22 2013 : I-129F received at USCIS, Lewisville, TX
Jan/24 2013 : NOA1 received - California Service Center
Jan/29 2013 : A# changed
May/15 2013: NOA2 (approved in 111 days after NOA1)!!!
May/31 2013: Received at NVC....
June/3 2013: NVC case number
June/4 2013: Package 3
June/4 2013: Case left NVC...
June/6 2013: Package 3 sent and Medical exam done
June/7 2013: Case at Embassy...
June/17: INTERVIEW.. Approved!!
June/21 2013: Passport with visa arrived
June/27: POE: FLYING TO USA

Nope, it seems none of the January filers on VJ got approved in 2 weeks like it happened with some December filers. I guess we'll all have to wait our turn in 5-6 months.

1/10/13 - NOA1 to VSC | 1/11/13 - Text/Email | 1/17/13 - Hard Copy Received
1/16/13 - Alien Registration Number changed
5/24/13 or 5/29/13 - Case Transferred to TSC
7/2/13 - NOA2 from TSC! (173 days from NOA1) | 7/6/13 - Hard Copy Received

Jan/23 2013 : I-129F received at USCIS, Lewisville, TX
Jan/25 2013 : NOA1 received - California Service Center
Jan/30 2013 : A# changed
Feb/1 : NOA1 hard copy received

May/2 : Touched

May/22: NOA2 text

May/25: NOA2 hard copy received

Jun/10: Case arrived at the NVC (took 13 business days)

Jun/13: Case is out to Lima Embassy!

June/21: Lima Embassy received it! changed from "in transit" to ready!

August/5 : Interview approved!

October/19: Got married

AOS Timeline:

Feb/14 2014: AOS packet sent out to Chicago Lockbox

Feb/17 2014: USPS webpage updated as packet received in Chicago

Feb/18 2014: Travel and work permit received

Feb/21 2014: I-485 doc received

Feb/24 2014: Got a text and email

March/3 2014: Received biometrics letter.

Also guys in case you werent aware theres now an app for checking your status just type in "USCIS" into the app store. :thumbs:

for the case status app on my iphone it says feb 6th, 2013 8:39am next to refresh when I check my status. I would assume it would refresh every time I check my status with the present time and not be stuck on feb 6th. Wondering if this is a bug in the app, not refreshing with the current time when i check my status .

Hi guys, just thought I'd share this..on Feb 5 I received the same notice about my alien # being changed. I didn't get any answers when I called them, so I sent an email and finally today someone called me back. The woman on the phone told me that it doesn't mean that I am getting approved soon, but just that my fiance has been assigned a number..and also that they are currently processing July 2012 cases, so I should expect to wait about 5 months (I filed at the end of January).

No, that's not normal at all. You should have received it within about a week of receiving the text/email. Call them to make sure they entered your address correctly. NOA1 isn't really necessary for anything as you know your case number from the email, but if you never received it, it might mean you won't receive something important from them later too. Better to make sure that they have your address correct.

Hi january filers. Me and my fiancé filed on january 22 2013. We got our NOA1 January 28. We have been in the initial review step since. Haven't heard from no one.
