Ok Everyone I need your help with this one!! :bonk: We filed out I 130 in May and a I 129 (K3) in June. Of course they were both approved the same day. The K3 was forwarded to the consulate and the I 130 was sent to the visa center. On the K3 it states to contact the consulate for visa issuance with an approval period of 12/12- 4/11. WHAT DO I DO???? Should we contact the consulate to schedule the interview or what??????? :help:

If they are both approved I would follow the I130 path because it is cheaper in the long run. Good Luck!!

The k-3 will be administratively closed and you will follow the i-130 route. I am not sure why the USCIS has the K-3 as an option anymore as they are obsolete and rarely if ever issued anymore. Good luck.

If they have already sent it to Lagos you should be able to use the K3, which is less hassle if you have kids to bring. Otherwise the CR1 is better. Email Lagos as see if they have it in the system.

Thank you everyone! I managed to get ahold of an operator last night @ NVC and she told me they have not received the petitions yet, but depending on which petition arrived first would be the process they would advance. She said if the K3 arrived first they would forward it onto Lagos but if they arrived together they would process the CR1. So I guess I have to wait to see. Does NVC have a AVR system to see if your petition has arrived and assigned a case number? Everytime I call it goes to a live operator . I know I will need to speak to one to provide emails etc but just to check if it has arrived it would be alot easier for AVR.
