Gun Control? What A Joke!

No its not illegal … some cities might have some laws in place but in general it is not.

The reason it gets compared is most anti gun ppl nor media would talk about it in spite the number of deaths is lot more.

Death is death to a family member who loses one in deliberate act or accident; I don’t think they would care more about either one.

If we losing more ppl in car accidents should we not focus more?

I am not against the background check before one acquires a weapon but certain things like doing a background check when one is selling weapon to another person is not feasible with the current infrastructure.

Our senator cannot even perform a simple background check on the ppl they allow to work in their office, how do you expect a general citizen to do a comprehensive background check while performing a small or single weapon sale?

It should be illegal. Like I said, where I'm from, you can't even pick up your phone in the car. If a cop sees you do it, you're getting a ticket for sure.

You can't ban cars or cell phones because a) their primary use is not that of inflicting harm and b) they have other, important uses. A gun is a gun. It is used to inflict harm on a person or an animal or a target in general. That's just the way it is.

You can kill someone with just about anything if you're determined enough.

Your comparison is not in the same league as this crime. Perhaps we should start looking at why this has become so common in the US versus other countries. Maybe we can learn something from that as a start. But I dont think the gun fanatics really want to hear any of that.

Look at the other post in this forum last 19 incidents all of the shooters were on some kinda drugs, is there a help needed for younger generation yes.

Mental health and talking about mental health is a taboo, do you think enough help is available to ppl and families facing these problems?

What is the root cause of the problem? The guns or the anger / frustration filled teenager?

Most ppl who own the gun or are in favour of gun are tired that any such thing happens general ppl and media jusr jumps on gun control and restrict this and restrict that.

Harsh, you dropped your pocket, go pick it up will ya.

I understand the car or cellphone’s purpose is not to kill but it does kill.

Same way guns main purpose of the gun is not to do a mindless killing based on which you support the restriction on the guns or ammo.

As I said various cities and state have various laws on txting and talking while driving. There is no nation wide law on it.

My point was if the nation got moved by the deaths last week, how come nation does not move when there is 10 times more death due to txting just in one state.

And here lies the problem, a gun is a weapon, no matter how you slice it.

Yes, we know they were nuts or nuts on drugs. Either way they cant do as much damage with no access to firearms or ammunition.

Are there any states that haven't made texting while driving illegal yet? If they haven't it won't be long. Now let's see if they can be as judicious when addressing gun control.
