Maybe so, but it doesn't have anything to do with T.J. Hooker or Star Trek. You might want to get your facts straight before you start throwing around insults.

Did you just mention TJ Hooker, Star Trek and facts all in the same context?

You may want to go out and search for your sense of humor, either that or grow a backbone.

The gun fanatics will grasp at anything to justify their fixation. They view what happened in CT as an acceptable risk for their right to play with their toys. Nothing will change unfortunately and more of the same tragedies will be in the news sometime down the road.

Some other nut will try to outdo the last nut.

So just coz certain ppl cannot control how much soda they can drink- you need govt into that as well.

Soda size has to be restricted too…. Are you kidding me?

It is not the gun fanatic or not… look at the root cause of the issue and address the root cause.

There are 2700+ death in a particular state due to txting and driving …which is lot more are you going to ban the cell phone completely?

Are you going to raise the tax per text message by like 500%?

Is texting and driving not illegal? I honestly don't know. I know back home you can't talk on your phone OR text while driving. I personally believe that's how it SHOULD be.

You guys need to stop comparing accidents to deliberate acts of violence, though, seriously. People don't go out and intentionally kill someone with a car or a cell phone.

Cool more insults. How about admitting you were mistaken and move on?

What part of joking and humor do you not get? I wasn't mistaken about anything, it was a joke. Some of the people on this board are way too sensitive and have a permanent stick up their #######.

Your joke telling leaves much to be desired.

It was in an episode of TJ Hooker. If Capt. Kirk needs ammo, he gets it!

I see it as you implying that what Harsh77 posted was some kind of fantasy, when it was actually reality. But anyway, the last word is yours. Fire away!

Your comparison is not in the same league as this crime. Perhaps we should start looking at why this has become so common in the US versus other countries. Maybe we can learn something from that as a start. But I dont think the gun fanatics really want to hear any of that.

If there was a way to magically make the 300+ million legal and illegal firearms disappear in this country, I'd like to know how. The only solution I've heard from anyone is some kind of "buyback" program, which quite frankly is laughable.

That actually makes sense. Whether it's going to happen or not is another story. I'm sure there's all kinds of issues with that approach.

I wonder if ammunition is considered part of the 2nd amendment?

Granted it would probably cause some kind of black market for ammunition, and maybe people would make their own (See Crystal Meth)

I think that's the most reasonable idea I've heard yet in this debate.

Perhaps limit the ammunition to small guns .... like pellet guns ;)

No its not illegal … some cities might have some laws in place but in general it is not.

The reason it gets compared is most anti gun ppl nor media would talk about it in spite the number of deaths is lot more.

Death is death to a family member who loses one in deliberate act or accident; I don’t think they would care more about either one.

If we losing more ppl in car accidents should we not focus more?

I am not against the background check before one acquires a weapon but certain things like doing a background check when one is selling weapon to another person is not feasible with the current infrastructure.

Our senator cannot even perform a simple background check on the ppl they allow to work in their office, how do you expect a general citizen to do a comprehensive background check while performing a small or single weapon sale?
