Hallo an Alle,

She is asking an embassy-specific question about how long it takes for the German consulate to send the visa after the interview.

OP, I am on a K1 visa, but I assume that it is the same for a CR1. I am certain that at the embassy on your interview day, they told you that it'll take 7-10 work days (approx. two weeks) to receive the visa. Those two weeks need to be taken into account when making travel plans. I assume that because of the holidays, things might be even slower. As for my visa that I received at the end of last month, it took exactly 11 days from the visa interview to receipt of my visa. I think you might make it before Christmas, but there is no guarantee. Best of luck!

Well, you cant tell how they do it and how long it takes.

I had my interview last tuesday with my son and still cant track the package, which means they havent sent it out yet.

My friend had the interview on wednesday last week, guess just like you, and she told me today that se was able to track it today,

which means its on its way to her YaYY ..

So, just be patient. I believe it comes this week, if not then it will come after the holidays, cause I read the consulate is closed between the years,

just cant remember the dates.
