Hi Everyone!!!!!

Started calling NVC to obtain case number and they are telling me I cannot get any updates unless I have the hard copy of NOA2 in my hands. Is this true???? NOA2 received last week by email/text/update on website.

No, it's not true.

It's some instant fiction created by the human you spoke with at NVC.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

No this is not true. I would call again this week. It does take a few days to transfer your paperwork to NVC for "processing" after its left USCIS. But they should be able to tell you the case number soon. Sometimes its seems like they try to find out how much you know or have before they tell you anything. Sometimes its all in asking the "right" question or getting the right operator with common sense and a good attitude. Good luck.
