Can the biometrics be done earlier than scheduled?

We finally got a biometrics appointment date and time. I was wondering if we could walk-in 2 weeks earlier than scheduled to get it done? I am due to be induced on the same day they scheduled it for. And if we do it earlier would it affect the progress of our case, slow down or speed up? All your response are appreciated.

You can try, some places are more lax then others. It also depends on how busy they are. It wouldn't speed it up considerably, but it would be another thing out of the way.

Some places allow it. You'll have to mention the location/which office, or simply search on Visa Journey in the search field - keywords such as "michigan city" "walk in".

It doesn't necessarily slow down or speed up the process. However, it won't hurt to get it done if it's possible. Bring your ID(passport), appointment letter and marriage certificate(in case you changed your last name).

You can try to walk in and have it done though there is no gaurantee they will let you in etc.

Yes you can but it depends your office.

For ex: in CA they're pretty strict unless you have some valid reason but other places i haven't observed much issues

But no harm in trying once
