and yes, gloves do make it harder to deal with a pistol than a rifle.

There has been cases recently where a lady stopped burglars from robbing her store another incident where grandpa saved lives of ppl in internet café when armed robbers tried to rob the café.

There was another case where a young girl has just returned from school and she heard someone break into her home, she took the gun they had in house hid in the closet and shot the burglar in self protection. Do you think without the gun she would had been able to protect herself from a burglar?

Unfortunately those incidents do not get as much as the media attention as the mass shooting does.

So saying CCW does not work is not correct either… just coz someone on one video of failed CCW does not mean all CCW holder are as bad as that.

Last two incidents shooting at mall and school, ppl who were shooter were not the rightful owner in first place.

There have also been cases where CCWs shot innocent bystanders, children, and even themselves. (read the link). I wonder if there are any statistics.

Two words: Michael. Dunn.

A concealed carry license holder that shot a kid for the crime of playing music too loud. Problem is, that's not a crime. In fact, it's a right here in Florida.

And that gun nut is not alone in the long line of infamous killers that were "law abiding citizens" that should not deprived of their right to keep and bear arms.

You did know the bottom of the trigger guard swings away on the M16? I spent OSUT at Fort Leonard Wood during a record cold winter. I am surprised no one had his frozen rifle explode either on the practice range, or when playing laser tag.

I saw that case and IIRC, he's being charged with murder.

I was just curious if there are any statistics available when CCW's fire back at criminals. I can't find any, but anecdotally, it seems that CCW's may be able to protect themselves (to a degree), but the risk to innocent bystanders around the CCW guy goes up exponentially.

Fort Lost in the woods? Ouch, you have my respect. I went there for my 60/SAW qual, right smack in the middle of nowhere. I have a little more love for STL now...
