This is a bit harsh, but to the point and I'm posting it here because it is relevant to the discussion of gun safety vs. the right of self defense. Those two ideas are not mutually exclusive. We can have laws that make gun ownership safer without compromising people's right to defend themselves.

So having an opinion you don't agree with is anti-American? Interesting. You must live an angry life.

living in a country that actually has civil rights and abusing the first in order to destroy the rest is hardly patriotic.

if any of the current crop of "reasonable people" wants to talk about "reasonable restrictions" on the right to freedom of speach, assembly, religious expression, and redress of government claims, lemme know. i'll bring the table.

Isn't that how and why America was built, difference of opinion? This good ole boy mentality can be very confusing at times.

So you want the freedom to be completely unreasonable, but everyone discussing the issue with you does not.

I dunno. I'm Canadian, and as I've learned, that means my brain doesn't work as well as an American brain does, and I'm incapable of understanding these things.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."
