You must have current income in America that can support your household at 125% of the poverty level. If you got a new job and it would be equivalent to a yearly job at 125% of the poverty level, then that is fine. You'll need a letter from your employer stating your salary and pay stubs.

If your job is not enough to support you and your spouse and any other dependants, then you will need a co-sponsor. Honestly, it can't hurt with you not having a job in America for long. You will have to submit I-864s for both you and the co-sponsor if you go down that road.

American citizens are required to file taxes even when abroad, but if you were below the income level and didn't need to then you can write a letter explaining that.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

but there was no way for me to file my taxes that's why I don't have my 2011 transcripts, and since I just got back to the us in October I just got a job that pays me 8/hr for 38 hours ive been working 2 months now so its better off to have a cosponsor?

If you have no children and it is just you and your spouse you need to make $18,913 a year. According to my calculations you make $15,808 a year. You'll most likely need a cosponsor.

You'll need to write a letter and say why you didn't file, but "couldn't" isn't a reason. If you made too little to be required to file then write that.

You write the reason that you were not required to and if you were required to, you'll file the back tax returns now.

If you look at this and you made above that amount, you will have to file back taxes for 2011.

Of course there was a way to file and there is a way now. You just didn't file. Tens of thousands of US Citizens file their tax returns from abroad each and every year. Hint: TurboTax online among many options.
