most states jump at the opportunity to require a cla$$ in order to hunt. i would think alaska being a huge hunting territory..would definitely cash in on that..weird.

I would think the first class in Alaska would be how not to hunted by some of the larger predators and omnivores in that state.

Alaska is too spread out for that to work, and there's no way your going to get some Eskimo kid to buy the fact that he needs hunting classes in order to go out and hunt. Most of these villages have under a couple of hundred people in them...some less than a hundred and all inbred, but it takes an act of god to hit all those villages and it would have to be done by plane, and a small one at that. This is the only state that's gotten enough votes on the ballot to have a vote in regards to succeeding from the US. It's a different mind set up here. You have the natives...eskimo's and indians, then you have your third generation Alaskans along with the old timers that were here before Alaska was a state, then you have your ex military vet whack jobs...Vietnam era. They moved up here to live alone and isolation added on top of whatever was bothering them to begin with and you have a certified loony. Still a few of those running around here.

Anchorage (pop. 300,000) is different from the rest of Alaska. Big city, minorities, their own ####### city gun laws, and lots of crime. It's gang banger city. Out where I live everyone is armed so we all play by the same rules.

Nobody stood up to that shooter in Oregon. The guy with his conceal carry license and his hand gun - per his own testimony - looked at the shooter from a distance and then retreated. He did NOT confront anyone. That's made up bull. You know it and yet you keep spreading this bull around and then complain when you're called out on it? How pathetic.

What about requiring liability insurance for gun owners? That would provide money to the victims and their families and would be an incentive to keep your guns safely stored from someone else using them.

That would be more in line with justice than charging uninvolved strangers for something that some spooky nutjob many states away does.

did i say that? you suggested punishing only people that misuse their guns. considering there's a good percentage of people who end up dead via that same misuse - i asked how you propose punishing dead people?

you might explore the concept of personal responsibility. gun ownership is a pretty big deal and not to be taken lightly. it's unfortunate that so many people can't own up to the full liability of owning a gun.

As per the CCW holder’s account the gunman looked at him and knowing he was confronted he took his own life.

CCW owner did not had to shoot but he was ready to if he had too.

You just don’t want to agree that CCW can save lives and that’s perfectly ok as you continue to live in the bubble.
