Disability income?

I called Uscis Friday, and finally someone answered my question if disability income from Railroad retirement, or SSDI counted as income for affadavit of support, the answer was yes, if you get an agent that is hard to get info from, call back later and talk to someone else. Worked for me. Just wanted to share this account found it hard to get the info.

That is because the people answering the phone are not immigration officers. They are only hired to answer the phones and give basic information. A lot of them have no idea about certain aspects, and that is why it is known as the misinformation hotline.

Disability, pensions, child support, etc. are all income and can be used on the affidavit of support. You just need to include the documents that prove how much you receive.
