I am about to apply for Advance Parole for my wife to travel to the Philippines along with the I-485 AOS. If approved is she limited to going only to the Philippines or can she travel with me on a 2 week trip to Latvia after Advance Parole is granted?

In other words is the Advance Parole limited to only the country given as a reason to want to travel to?

She can travel to other countries, but she will need an appropriate visa for a Philippine passport holder.

I will be submitting an Advance Parole document for my wife sometime next week to be able to visit her family in the Philippines in case of family emergency. I also plan to travel to Latvia in June of 2013 and I would like her to accompany me to Latvia. Since she is a Philippine national what are the requirements for a Philipine national to travel to Latvia? Or where can I find such information? I suppose she would require a visa. Any help would be appreciated.

advance parole only allows her back in to the USA.

For travel to other countries (besides the PI) , she'll most likely need a visa .

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

As others have stated, she will travel on her PI passport and is subject to the rules and visa requirements of a PI citizen for visiting that country--also the travel document's name must match the name on her PI passport. The fact that she has AP and soon a GC MAY help her get a visa to a country that most PI citizens cannot get, but the only thing the AP and GC do is allow her to re-enter the US without any type of visa since she is a LPR.

Good luck,

Dave
