Timelines after DS230 submission

Hi

Would like to know approximately when will NVC complete the case once they receive the DS 230 and when the interview will be scheduled for Mumbai consulate.

NVC received the DS-230 packet on 10-Dec.

The call center folks asked me to contact after 20 business days and did not give any timeframe for when the case will be complete.

It took NVC 2 weeks to respond to our DS230. If you're approved, your case will be labeled as completed and your file will be forwarded to your embassy within 1-4 weeks according to the past timelines I looked over.. Once the embassy receives your file they or NVC will schedule an interview in 1-8 weeks. The interview date will be in 4-8 weeks after.

Thanks for the update.

Will the NVC treat all VISA types the same while assigning interview dates; or do they give priority to certain VISA types.

Mine is under employment category (E1).
