im in the same boat with you!

Me too!

We really do hope that we get a reply soon! My fiance called USCIS on Tuesday to find out where our petition went after they sent it away on Friday. He talked to a tier 2 person and she told him it went to Texas.

Now they resent it somewhere else? And they are finally processing it? I'm not sure what to think anymore. We contacted our congresswoman as well, maybe she can find out something more useful. Or hopefully NOA2 knocks at the door before we struggled our way through this confusing situation ;)

Got the postal orders for the interview yesterday evening and tbh this whole process is going to (and already has) gotten very expensive for me, even though I have savings I hate to spend it all on paperwork :D

So far I have had

$340 for the filing fee (my fiancé payed that)
€220 for translation of documents
€246 for certified certs
€1490 for medical exams
€960 in postal orders for the interview
€62 in stamps required for the interview
€80 on vaccinations
€120 travel to the medical and travel to pick up the results

I know I shouldn't complain as I am applying for a k1 and some k2s but it is really adding up and the most expensive things are yet to come (if I get the visas) .. flights... AOS between the 2 of them I am looking at another 7500 in US dollars. Lol it gives me a headache just thinking about it.

I totally know what you're talking about. I also miss him so much! But I'm a very lucky girl. He's coming to visit me in 12 days :)

Yes, I usually spend a month of the summer with my Fiancé but we have not made arrangements for this year as we hope I will be able to move there soon afterwards so when my children go on holidays this year (2 weeks in switzerland and 2 weeks in eygpt) I think the lonesomeness will really set in... I just hope against hope that I get a yes in 2 weeks at the interview.

I am trying to use self-sponsor (with a back up of a co-sponsor) at an embassy not known for allowing self-sponsorship, so my nerves are at maximum even thinking about it going pear shaped.

Oh well, don't be too nervous. It is what it is, nothing you can do about it.

Concentrate on the facts and your arguments. As long as you're calm and can explain everything logically you'll be able to convince them that self-sponsorship is sufficient in your case. And since you have a back up there's no need to be worried. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Keep us updated about your interview! And enjoy the summer without the kids - treat yourself to something you usually don't have enough time for ;)

Received the letter today, it says my case has been sent to TCS. I just hope our time line does not start over at the new service center. I would not want to jump ahead of folks who have been at this center as long as I have been at VSC. Really bummed out about the whole deal, but my Ling tells me to be happy and not to worry, so I try..:)
