NOA1 12/7/12. Hoping a miracle!! Realistically, expecting April-May to receive NOA2, if things go to their usual pace. What I understood that timeline on USCIS page refers to getting visa from the time of application and averages out to be 6 months. If you subtract 2 months of NVC & Consulate processing, then I should hear within 4 months from NOA1. Please correct me if you know for sure that I am wrong. Thanks

People that were NOA1 in June just received their NOA2 from Vermont. Not sure from California though.

I think that NVC and Consulate comes after NOA2 doesn't it?

I heard it could be 6-8 months for NOA2 and after that beneficiary receives packet 3 and schedules interview. Interview may take place up to 4 months? I think...may be wrong. When I was at the US embassy in VN and asked the lady @ the window she said on average it was taking 8 months to a year.

I've known of couples who did it and their loved ones didn't come over till a year and half later.

Others were done within 6 months.

I guess it all depends.

I sent my packet off today. it was roughly 90 pages of information.

I had 17 pages of my call log to him using V247 and then I did about 5 screenshots of Skype and Yahoo video chats.

Since my fiance has viber i downloaded our msgs and just printed out about 5 pages worth of text.

It's time stamped to show the times we talk...mainly late evening early morning...

Hopefully everything is in order. I actually included a list of his relatives I've met and also a timeline too..notarized. I actually have 3 copies of the timeline notarized in case when he goes to interview they need it again...of course if I get to see him again before the interview I'll have to update it again.

Finger crossed for speedy responses for everyone filing :D

That would put me out to June, which is very frustrating. I heard some getting approved within 1-2 months without any expedited request. I understand that those lucky people are perhaps only a small percentage, but again being optimistic, I will definitely pray to be in the same prevaliged group, Amen.

There's no harm in praying :D

For me, I have my fiance and my future step daughter. If I can have them with me anytime next year I would be ecstatic! But in case anything was to happen...he can spend another Chinese New Year over there. LoL...just without me :(

A little Back Ground. I overstayed my visitors visa for quite a few years (Came to USA 1998 and haven't left since). Met my wife in college and dated for 1 year, we were engaged for 10 more months and then got married October 6th! All in All the packet I sent in kicks butt! Affidavit letters of support from her parents that was notarized, letters from friends, tons of pictures professionally taken at our wedding (one including all 200+ guests that attended), bank accounts merged, her DL with new last name, lease, and to top it off, the engagement ring letter of appraisal (to toot my own horn, if they don't think my wedding is Bona Fide after that then WOW!)

I'm waiting on the Biometrics Letter to get here but its been 16 days now since USCIS received my package!! What do you think? Is this average? Also, USCIS hasn't uploaded my case to their online tracker!

11/29- Packet Sent

12/4- USCIS Receives Package

12/7- Checks Cashed

12/11- Received NOA i-130 i-485 i-785 (Priority Date December 4th

I just checked my delivery confirmation from USPS...it was delivered to Dallas, TX today @ 12:07 pm. Hopefully my NOA1 is not too far along...

One person on VJ had their's approved withing 2 weeks!!! That would be great too for me, but I think I would really start to stress just cause I'll have less time to get all the required paperwork together and sent to the husband to be.

Hopefully the USPS can track it down for you! I just sent mine Priority mail with delivery confermation. It was delivered in 3 days. Tracked it online! I have seen packages being returned from the "Express" mail address due to nobody there to sign it. It's rare but I guess it happens. Good luck brother!

Yea, mine was Priority too...it was over 13 ounces w/ delivery confirmation. Mine was delivered in two days but I haven't received NOA1 yet...USCIS sure has an odd way of doing things...Wonder if I can call and ask them if they received it since delivery confirmation says it was delivered on 12/20/12...

nvm...i saw where they got yours on the 15th. fail. lol

So you got NOA1 within a week if im calculating it correctly...or even less than that. Did they cash your check yet?

Did they give you a green and white slip with the tracking number on it? Should be able to use that to look it up online. That's what I did. It said something like "Delivery fail, nobody able to accept" at one time then an hour later said "Delivered".

yep. It was delivered @12:07 pm on 12/20/12. Patience is a virtue. It forces us to talk to one another. Communication is key! At least no one can say I'm with my future husband to be because the sex is good...

After dealing with extremely rude customer service reps this morning (including one who hung up on me), I was able to locate it. It was delivered today. I also demanded a refund for postage.

I'm super glad I checked the "no signature required" just in case no one was there to sign for it!

Also it looks like we're just one day apart form each other! Cool :P
