i received my NOA1 12-6-2012, and im hella stressed even i planned my wedding on 6-28-2013

today when i called the USCIS folks told me that they are still processing 7-18-2012 K1 visa's

and i was like WTH!!!!!!!!!!! my turn will never come

i filed in CSC

any body with ideas please share it

There is maybe a 0.5% chance you will be approved by end of June. Even with the old 5 month average you would have been looking at early May out of CSC, and another 1-2 months from then to interview. But that average is way wrong now. We will be extremely lucky to get out of CSC in 8 months... maybe 10. I made this error too, my NOA-1 is a day after yours and our wedding is planned for October 14. I'm still hoping to get by by the skin of my teeth, but I am sweating.

Biggest piece of advice on VJ is not to plan a wedding until the visa is in hand. We are delayed at CSC for at least 6 months. You'll be lucky to have your NOA2 by June an you definitely won't have the visa.

I'm sorry to read all that. I relate to te student loans greatly. I pay $1200 a month between Sallie Mae, the government, and a bank.

Oh ya sorry Hun, not gonna happen unless ur one of those random quick terms. Cuz even if uscis picks up the pace back to normal..that's noa2 in may, then nvc , then wait til it gets to ur country, a few weeks, then wait til they get to ur case file, then send out the package by mail...then u get it..then u gather stuff, then snd it in by mail again..then wait til they send the other package stating ur interview date which can be scheduled for several months later..or a month..then u have to hope to be approved, then wait for visa to come to u I don't mean to sound li,e a downer , but saying this helps me plan out how long I have to wait I like to organize my thoughts hehe..

But maybe Sweety u can do the wedding just don't do it legally through the government just a party and wedding, but r u the USC? but he can't get a tourist visa maybe?

even Obama mentioned it in his speech yesterday so i hope they will do something about the processing time soon

yea i guess im going to do a wedding party but not a government one.

my fiance is Turkish as well, she is so excited i hope a wonder will happen and we will be together soon

i dont know how the US embassy in Ankara works but i hope things will go fast there

I think Obama's comment about families separated was about people with an entry ban who are married to a US citizen/resident, and speeding up the waiver process. Not about speeding up K visas or CR-1/IR-1 visas. There is no political capital to be gained in speeding up an already wholly legal process. We will be expected to understand and remain patient.

I actually liiked this year haha..it was fun figuring out what to send or what to do when hes so far away My fiance isnt very good with the internet and doesnt know english very well, so he had trouble he said..he was looking all over the internet on how to send roses to my house..but all he found was 200 dollar ones..so he just ended up calling my dad and sending him to get some haha...I also send him some pics and stuff. It was a surprise for me ..my fiance is not romantic at all...

My fiancé FILED the petition in November but we received NOA1 in December

I don't want to wait for NOA2 till the End of June (or even longer??)

We would love to marry on August 24th - but honestly I start doubting that this will happen
