My father never been in school and do not have birth certificate. Some how not sure how we manage to get passport 10 years back.

Now getting help from relative, we filed case in Local city (In Gujarat) court, but it takes more than 6 months. But I also called NVC. They mention that I can get two affidavits from relative and non-availability certificate from village office. I will translate in English.

Anyone know Mumbai consulate will create any issue.

Anyone parents has approval in interview without birth certificate and with affidavit and non- availability certificate ?

Hi there my father just got his GC approved at Mumbai consulate. He did not have a birth certificate as well. But he has his school leaving certificate in which my grandfather had made an age declaration signed by him in the local language. We got it translated and attested by an attorney. We also took two affidavits from his maternal aunts who are still alive (my father is 68) and the non availability certificate from the local municipality. My father presented his original school leaving certificate showing the age declaration from his father and the translation. Apparently that was enough and I guess based on his age that proved to be sufficient.

I am not from Gujrat. The Mumbai Consulate page has details as to who can give an affidavit. For Birth certificate, two affidavits prefarably from his Mothers side of the family. Affidavits on Rs 50 stamp paper should be good.
