At least you got a different status update with your file. good.gif

The USCIS website says we're in acceptance stage, so did the Tier 1. So, I'm not sure if that information that the file is with the Chicago Office is worth anything. No transfer letter, no info whatsoever.

Just for the sake of that "some serious of waiting", we prepared for our I-765 renewal form already and the date we will be mailing it. tongue_ss.gif

How far ahead (i.e. before our current one expires next Feb) should we be mailing in the renewal form for the i-765/131?

I used my advanced parole for the first time today - and am glad we allowed plenty of extra time at the airport! It went fine, but we would have missed our flight if we'd just arrived 2 hours ahead. Now I have a new i-94 and a lovely big stamp saying "Paroled" in my passport. smile.png

It looks like the NBC may be getting into the sept/oct filers now, from what I see on different timelines (not field office interviews, not CSC cases)! Soon!

Glad to hear that you didn't have any problem re-entering the country with the EAD/AP card. We will have our first trip out of the country in a month and we are nervous about using the EAD/AP card :(

On a side note:

June 28 was the official 6 months mark for us! Today I went online to check my wife's case status (for I-485) and it was the same Acceptance stage as before. The only different thing was that this time I was able to put an e-Request using the USCIS website for the reason "Beyond posted processing time" which we were not able to do before because "We were still within the posted processing time"! I don't know whether this is the same as a service request when you call customer service or not, but it said to expect a response within 30 days. We don't know anything about her case and whether it has been transferred or not, but we'll see how this eRequest goes! Is there anyone else submitted an eRequest online?

We figured with the situation of Immigration reform and with DOMA (now they can grant CR-1/K-1 visa for gay/lesbian couples), we'll probably be in another long haul to get green card. You should submit the renewal for both I-765/I-131 90 days before their expiration dates.

We did file e-request as well last month.

It's just I, poking my head in as the next mid-month mark passes. On average, 7 months have passed, and on average, we're starting our 8th month of waiting! Go us!

My estimate for approvals is around the end of August or beginning of September. I'm sure it's gonna be sooner than later now!

Hang in there everyone!

Cheers!

Just to let you guys know, in response to the service request we put online we got a letter in the mail yesterday (2 weeks after service request) saying that:

"Our records indicate that your I-485 case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 90 days of the date of this letter, or you will need to contact customer service at the number provided below."

So basically, back to the waiting game, AGAIN!

We received similar letter today from USCIS after inquired via e-request. The wording on our a letter is a little bit different. It stated it will update us within 60 days from the date of the letter unless an interview is needed.

Looking at the envelope of our e-request letter, it was sent from Los Angeles USCIS. If this is the case, then our AOS is about a month away as Los Angeles field office is currently handling November 11, 2012 cases.

At least you have a date now! Ours was sent from an office in Chatsworth, CA and when I checked in the USCIS website found that it is the address of the San Fernando Valley field office. But now there is no San Fernando office in the dropdown menu that shows the processing times!!!
