Just got RFE for expedition of case

Hi guys,

My fiancee and I filed a request for our petition to be expedited back in September on the grounds that my USC fiance was going to be living with me in Aus for this process, that meant that she would have to quit her job while still paying some bills back in the US. They want information on how we are experiencing financial hardship.

We know it is a long shot here but any information, advice or tips on how we could best demonstrate this anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

It seems to me that she made a choice to leave a job and move to Aus for many months until this process is over. In doing so that meant no income. Why would this prompt the government to move you to the top of the list? This is not financial hardship.

I would imagine "severe financial loss" would be what you are requesting, but since it's self-inflicted I'm not sure how much traction you would get with USCIS trying to use it.

Well this is not the best action to take. The USCIS will only ask you the questions and respond based on your answer. You don't need to quit your job for this purpose, you are not doing any good to the petition.

Quitting the job and moving was a choice of the petitioner as is staying there. Neither are reason for expediate. Supporting 2 households would be more of a reason ( although still probably not meeting the bar )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Yes it does not seem like we will fit into the criteria for expedition. Does anyone have an opinion on if we should even try to submit the supporting docs? Would getting knocked back for expedition delay our approval in anyway? Any thoughts and advice is greatly appreciated.
