Where could I start? My ex-wife left me in April 2012 and she finalized the divorce in November 2012. She was 19 and I was 25. I think she just stopped loving me, I do not know when, but she did. She has changed, she is very cold towards me. Nonetheless, I believe we are in a good terms. She is happy now with her boyfriend. I am from France, I married my ex, and after 11months, she did not wish to be with me. I asked her, if we could see a doctor, but she wasn't happy with me. I wasn't for her.

I have decided to stay in USA. My conditional card expires at the end of next year, I have filled the i-751 waiver, I have pictures of us from our traveling, joint-account that I have closed, letters from my friends, but I do not have tax, apartment lease nor car insurance in our name. We were just students when we were married, we were starting to build our lives, we did not have enough money, we wanted to get officially remarried in France once we had enough.

Is there anything I should do regarding my case?

My situation is very complicated. I had a crazy love story, and at the end, I am happy to move forward and I am, sincerely, happy for her. I know she is a good person.

Hello, thanks for the fast reply. What would be a good documents to proof? I do not have a car insurances, appartment lease, or tax return. We didn't make enough.

I have read so many threads, and it's scary. I have the i-751. I have pictures of us from our traveling, and with our cats, and I have joint-account statements, letters from our friends (my two witnesses, my landlord, and two of my friends). Do they count?

Bottom line, gather all you have. If you don't have certain things then nothing much you can do.

As long as the marriage is in good faith, a little evidences is better than a fake one with loads of made up stuff.

Try to get some affidavit from friends and family, and have them notarized if you want.

What did you live on?

I live in a basement with my landlord, I pay her every month. My ex used to do the same. She paid her every month. After, when one of us had to go because we were having arguments a lot, my landlord asked me to stay, she did not really care about my ex. Few months ago, she admitted that she never liked her.

I live in a big basement in a very cool house, my landlord happens to be also my full joint sponsor.

I just discovered that my ex lied about the tax return, apparently we have to do them, even if you don't do much. I am trying to take care of it, but my ex gets quiet angry, there is nothing I can do with her. I am doing my best from my side.

how do you pay rent if you don't earn enough to file taxes? And how do you eat/have power etc?

You say she lied about the returns. So she never filed jointly with you?

She never filed the joint with me. I wasn't with her. everytime when i ask her what happened with the tax, she said we do not have to file them, because we did not make enough. I filed my 2011 Tax return yesterday. Apparently, we have to do them, even if we do not have enough income.

I was an international student when I arrived in USA, so every month, my family in France send me money to pay for school, food, and rent. And when I received my residency, I started to work. I live in my landlord's basement, I just pay the rent not the water and electricity.

I have the tax now. I have letters from my friends, landlord, my witnesses, I have a joint account, pictures. But I never had car insurance, credit card and lease agreement. My landlord never made me sign a paper.
