"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

You are seriously blaming the media for this?

Good lord. That's insane. The world you live in is a delusional one. You're clinging to your beloved guns so tightly that you aren't making sense.

fragile personalities can be affected by many influences.

hypothetically, the guy was already in dire straits, and felt he had nowhere else to turn to with his fear. telly coverage of similar individuals acting out their fear in aggression is enuf inducement to such disturbed personalities. it's just like this forum is to you, a place you can go where everybody has something in common, so it makes you feel safe while going thru the process of immigration. the enactor just needs to have one or two other people tell him how to handle his fear. sometimes they give bad examples to vulnerable people, and we get "copycat killers".

maybe you haven't been aware of American news for very long, but this kind of reasoning has been accepted in American police work since I was in short pants. just google it and you'll see that an entire branch of psychology is dedicated to study and treatment of such.

I'm well aware of American news. I know what a copycat killer is. I'm not an idiot.

All I'm saying is that you cannot blame the media for something like this occurring. This guy didn't suddenly see a news story and decide to grab a bulletproof vest, four weapons, and shoot up an elementary school. The media didn't make him do this. He did it on his own. Thought about it, planned it, made the drive from NJ (or so they're saying)

He would have done it today or he would have done it next week or next year. Other shootings happening around the same time may have helped in deciding that today is the day, but I almost guarantee that a sick act like this wasn't thought up in the heat of the moment.

Several news sources saying that a dead person was found in the shooters house, speculation is that it is one of his parents.

This guy knew exactly what he was going to do then. Sick.

You keep forgetting, guns are completely innocent of all these murders.

here's one that has been under video surveilance since 1994. it hasn't moved since.

Those people are ninjas, samurais and martial arts folks; knives or anything that requires hand to hand combat are their weapons of choice. Guns to Americans is like short range weapons to the Chinese.

Oh, I see. I had no idea the Chinese were all ninjas and samurais even though ninjas and samurais are Japanese. Very cool.

You mean you didn't know that everyone in China is a reborn Bruce Lee? The farmers there are the deadliest of them all. Kung Fu pitch forks. Where's David Carradine when you need him?
