Its defintely not the guns thats the issue. I forgot which country it is...maybe sweden...where majority of the citizens are armed and they dont have crazy things like this happening. Its defintely the CRAZY PEOPLE that are responsible for these mass shootings. Unfortunately as a country we cannot control these lunatics hence the need to control their weapons of destruction. what else are the people to do???? If you can't control the crazies then control their weapons, its just common sense....

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

You do know this is the Politics and Religion forum?

Doesn't mean that people have to be so tactless with so many children dead, but I guess it shows some people's true colors.

Gun control and second amendment rights are not mutually exclusive.

I agree. I believe there is a middle ground that does not infringe the 2nd. I would say generally speaking that 46 or so states have gun laws that are too lax, and 4 states wear they are too restrictive.

lest it go unnoticed by everyone else - i suspect this is the start of something beautiful.

Alaska has the most lax gun laws in the US along with Vermont and you don't see this ####### happening in either of those states. Not sure why this doesn't happen in Vermont seeing how that state is full of a bunch of LWN, but in Alaska we beat our kids and don't sissify them.
