I won't be going through all 11 pages -

I truly hope that the media will concentrate not on the shooter, but on the victims. 27 dead, 18 children from kindergarden to 4th grade.

Unbelievable and absolutely heartbreaking.

I just immigrated to Connecticut 4 months ago - everyone I know is in mourning.

What a tragedy.

I'm from CT. My heart goes out to you and all our fellow Nutmeggers right now.heart.gif

I was about to go tell you gun nuts to go f^ck yourselves, but there is nothing I can say that will change your minds. You go hug your guns. There are many families that won't be hugging their children tonight, but never you mind.

But a child has fewer rights than an inanimate object. Because children aren't in the Constitution.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

no, look, my son was diagnosed as add in the first grade. the first thing the school and the doctors want to do is drug him up. i refuse. i fight the school and the school board to get my sons 'special education' permit..better known as an iep. at every meeting, at every conference, drugs are recommended. i refuse. because my son has an iep he receives more individualized attention at school. this helps his grades, which help his self confidence, which help him blend in with the other kids. he is in the fifth grade now, still off meds and still struggling BUT the school and the teachers leave me alone. they don't hound me any more about putting him on medicine. when you have a child you have to be that child's biggest supporter. and that doesn't mean defending your child's behaivior good or bad or always going after the teacher or other children. it means taking charge of their entire education and health and not putting it off on anyone else. whipping kids is not the answer to anything..telling kids they have to be stronger than their bullies isn't the answer either.

There have had several school districts including at least one here in Alaska busted for pushing meds on kids. It happens. The school districts were getting kick backs from whatever drug company(s) for putting kids on meds. All I know for sure is that this ####### didn't happen when I was a kid so why does it happen so frequently now? Again the US wasn't a nanny state back then. Back then the teachers were allowed to beat the kids when the kids screwed up.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Screw you making this about guns. You are a horrible person - take your politics to someone else's tragedy.

As a CT resident (Madison and West Cornwall), I am beyond upset and heartbroken.

People who have issues sometimes don't get themselves help. Others who interact with them know something's wrong. Who do you decide needs an intervention? Too many people with problems but half don't do things like this.

It's too bad that these murders always end up killing themselves, are shot by police or end up in prison. They get the easy way out while the victims families suffer for the rest of their lives.

This is an absolute tragedy with children being murdered. The shooter should be kept barely alive and tortured for a few decades.

I'm always for torture when we know without a doubt exactly who did it.

Are you f^cking kidding me? you choose ME out of the people on here to have a go at? You defend the right of this madman to kill children but you attack me for MY pain?

I'm from New Haven. Bite me.

I defended somebody's rights to kill children? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Please oh please keep going about your politics and useless accusations.

Meanwhile parents cry over their losses and the first thoughts that comes to people heads is gun rights.

Oh New Haven. :sleepy:

No one is defending murder. But you don't just mess around with the Bill of freakin' Rights.

She is from CT too.

Yes. And everyone I know from there is today in grief. We are people who do not see that there is any story here without guns. How is this not about guns? Tell me.

Why do you want so many people solving their issues with beating someone up?
