  1. 1. What should the national response be to this tragedy?

    • There shouldn't be a national response at all.

when in the hell is the discussion going to turn away from the weapon used and instead focus on the behavior that allows for such inhumanity?

let's see if the news focuses on your question, or the gun question...

but anyway, is that an option in the posted poll?

According to NBC, "Gunman dead after carrying out second deadliest school shooting in nation's history; second person in custody, officials say. One of the parents of the alleged school shooter also found dead at a home in New Jersey." CBS is saying that the shooters mother was a teacher at the school.

BREAKING: WCBS-TV reports the shooter's mother was teacher at school, many victims apparently her students

When they should be focusing on both. These mass killings are happening in America far more often than any other countries. There has to be a reason.

you may be a liscensed dealer in kali, and that may be the trend in kail, but the national trend has been to increased numbers of owners per capita and dramatically increased numbers of firearms for the last 20 years, with over 40% of households reporting at least 1 gun owned. an estimated 350 million in current circulation.

so they say we can't deport 20 million illegal aliens. how do they think we will ever give up 350 million legal firearms?

The number of guns per owner has increased, but the ownership per person has decreased. This article was ironically posted AFTER my last post. See chart 5.

Also, so as not to misrepresent myself, I am not a dealer. I am a lowly collector of C&R - FFL03, not an 01.

i find my own reliable news. i don't wait for the television to hand it to me.

nope.it wasn't an option. probably because the argument always comes around to gun control, which is completely superficial.

mental health. why is that not an option in this poll?

there have been guns readily available to americans for quite some time. this sh*t doesn't happen because of gun laws or lack there of..

Bingo!!! Best post Iv'e seen you make on this board and it was a good one.

Why are all these whack job killings happening now when they were almost non existent 30 years ago? Society is my guess. Weak people with weak minds. Today's America is nothing like it was in the 80's and before then. Now every one needs a pill and every one has a weak excuse for being weak minded. One big nanny state has created most of these whack job kids these days.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

The 2nd Amendment is there. It's not going away. So yes, taxes go up if you want more security.

You wanna play, you gotta pay.

Put the same kind of taxes on guns that they put on cigarettes and gasoline.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.
