Hello everyone, sinse i last inquired on November 19th about that "call" i received from the IO and seeing her at the field office im still in the dark! She said she would send out her decision within a month, and still nothing. When i last spoke to my attorney was November 17th,he told me not to do anything to wait for however long it takes for USCIS to make a decision. That i can just keep renewing my EAD every year they take and its free. But its not just me that is on hold. So is my husband, hes a derivative beneficiary, his attorney is more than ready to proceed with his case. But everything is on hold. Im tired of waiting, checking my mailbox everyday, chcking the website, when i know that ive done everything that has been asked of me. My question is do i wait it out like my attorny advised,or do i take action and what kind of action do i take? please any advice is appreciated.

I think you should listen to your attorney! It might seem a very simplistic answer for me to give but that's what I would do. Because the attorney is the one who has the expertise in such matters/situation and I think you should heed his/her advice even though I understand your hobby and everyone else is being put on hold by such advise.

Goodluck and I wish you the very best!

I'm sorry to hear about this attorney not caring or being sympathetic to your situation, especially when you have paid for his services and inherently he's supposed to provide the best care and see your case through. It is also a shame these IO's and for that matter some uscis employees do not see the big picture by realizing that at the tail end of every case they're processing is a life and a family's future involved. Anyway, do NOT get down and be frustrated especially in a situation where you have no control over. Woryying yourself to frustration will only serve to increase your aggravation - and I'm sure you're aware of the unhealthy quensequences a situation...?

All you can do is you and your husband gathering the requisite documents and be ready to file for him as soon as your case is finalized! Lets see what feedback others in the forum got to give. Once again, I wish you the very best!
