FILED I-90!!! PLS HELP

Hi guys,

Last November I filed my ROC application that was sent back to me due to early application which is because my GC has wrong expiration date. I went to make an infopass appointment and was told to file I-90 to correct my GC with no fee because it was USCIS fault. So I mailed my I-90 priority mail last Dec 4,2012 with expected delivery date on Dec 6,2012.

But tracking number still says it left the facility last Dec 5,2012 until now. It's more than a week now and the status never changed and I dont know if it has been delivered or not. I called the postal office and told me that it might got in the wront truck and went to the wrong city and being re routed to the original destination and that its not considered lost yet. The lady told me to wait a few more days, that It could be there anytime now.

I called USCIS and they told me that if I mailed it last dec 4,2012 I should wait 10 days to get NOA, if not I should call them. My 10th day will be tomorrow.

Has this ever happened to anyone???If so, pls share your experience. Pls help. Im so worried that it got lost, I cant afford to pay to replace my GC.

Thanks in advance!

If the tracking number doesnt show it as delivered then it wasnt delivered yet- its as simple as that.

When you ship something with a tracking number the postman scans it when it arrives at the location its being delivered to as proof it made it there.

So unfortunately your package isnt there - yet. Because you shipped priority mail and not express mail, they dont give you a guaranteed date, only an expected date. So theyre not going to refund your money because its not there by the 6th. Your package may show up in the next few days in perfect condition, it may get returned to you by USCIS because it arrived in damaged condition and is unacceptable for processing, it may get returned to you by the post office for unknown reasons, or it may just be lost forever.

Perhaps you should consider resubmitting and using a guaranteed delivery date service?

Do NOT resubmit. Just wait a bit. I have seen numerous threads where people get antsy and resubmit and then their package is found (always) and having two applications makes things confusing, or worse... One guy almost had both of his packages denied...

Just wait. It will be okay.

AOS for my husband

5/23/12: Sent out package
