approved in india but still no passport

hi,

my wife's visa was approved 3 weeks ago. They gave her a slip and also said "congrats, u r approved". This was our second interview (we had to appeal) at Delhi. and we were really excited that finally its approved. They said they will send the passport later with the visa and that it might take sometime. Now after 3 weeks, still no passport. I tried to track by emailing passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com and getting automated reply saying "No status is available for this passport". What does this mean? anyone else in the same situation?

I was going to call them but then decided to send an email to passport status once again and this time its saying "in transit from post" Does this mean we will get it an a day or two?

That email address is a joke. I tried it for my wife's passport that was submitted on 12/10/12 and when I checked on 12/13/12 it said "ready for pickup" which it was NOT because I called DOS that morning and it was still "processing." If you sent it again you probably will get a different reply everytime.
