Oh yeah, it's pretty much obligatory at this point. Previous ones are much better though, I feel like they've phoned it in this year!

I saw in one of the Youtube reports they focused on a guy standing off to the side and commented that he is called "The Boxer" but he's sitting this one out.

It's towards the end in this clip.

There has been two days of this in a row.

I really don't see your point there..... because, you know, opinions are like a$$holes.... and all that jazz.

Ukraine is Ukraine. It's not a part of Russia and never will be. Western Ukraine just hates everybody straight up who is not Ukrainian (yeah, forget the fact that HALF of them aren't either, but we'll leave it to the real "patriots" of the country to sort out).

The point I was trying to make (sorry if it wasn't obvious enough) was that there were some very hard feelings and they ran deep. We would cut their hay and bale it for them (for a price) and during breaks the wife would come out with lemonade, water, sandwiches, etc... and her and her ol man would tell us kids stories about Ukraine after we bugged them over and over. We ate that stuff up...but back to the point you could get the gist from them that if they could go back and do it over again they would still be putting bullets in the heads of Russians (and Russian speaking peoples for that matter) and possibly even a few Poles.

Yeah, they did quite a bit of that from in the 40's. Maybe that's why a lot of them left too, because once there were no heads to put bullet holes in - they were next.

Lots of that hatred was simply unjustified, but then again, when IS hatred justified?

But seriously now - Ukraine has transformed quite a bit over the past two decades. It's still pretty much just learning to walk, like a child, on its own.

To give a little perspective - I'm from Crimea, and I left about 13 years ago. I've had my run ins with the Western Ukrainians, and not a lot of those were pleasant (mostly because of my last name, of course, and yeah, the fact that Russian is my first language, not Ukrainian).

Listen, to simply put it - it's a clusterfuck. It'll remain like that for a bit, then someone will start slowly unfucking the things and it'll get better. I just think it's going to take a very long time. Pretty much the time it takes for the last person born in the USSR to die, so yeah, LONG time

On that note - work day is done. So if you want to talk about such things, let me know (hell, we can use RUB forum for it), but for now, I'm a gonna go home.

Oh Wow! He's strong, smart and I like some of the things it says he believes about his political ideas. I looked at the clip again and it says "Punching Party" not the Boxer. I must have heard that in another clip on the same situation.

What are these guys fighting over? I saw them rush to the front and another segment shows what looks like someone is physically holding another person in like a full body head lock while everyone else is pushing and shoving and some are duking it out while others are slapping people.

His party is called "The Punch", which is a literal translation from Ukrainian. I guess you can see the symbolism there.

He's very smart and educated, yes. Doctor level degree of education.

Why the do it? There's no good rhyme or reason for that....
